Natalie Wiser-Orozco is the brains behind The Devil Wears Parsley! A native Las Vegan turned Southern Californian, she is currently living in Moreno Valley with her husband, Angel, and four cats, Gera, Roland, Sookie, and Julian.
During the day she is a software developer for Imagine Systems, Inc. in Redlands, CA, and holds a Bachelors and Masters of Computer Science. She loves stargazing, which ended up manifesting in her Master’s Thesis: The Extensible Simulation of Planets and Comets. She presented her thesis at the IEEE Space Mission Challenges For Information Technology conference in 2009, and was published in it’s proceedings.
The Devil Wears Parsley was conceived in 2010, initially as a way to share what she was cooking in my kitchen. When her father died later that year, it evolved into platform to promote healthier living, and embracing life with vigor. Her purpose is to share recipes that are made with the most local, fresh, organic, and unprocessed, whole foods possible, with 110% love.
She believes in working hard, laughing often, eating well, and caring for one another. Life is too short to get caught up in negativity. Living life to it’s fullest, and enjoying it in it’s entirety starts with feeling good! Feeling good stems from a healthy diet and exercising regularly, with the occasional indulgence.
In the winter of 2011, her eyes were opened to the world of Craft Beer. The beer that created the passionate spark was Stone Brewing Company’s Vertical Epic 11.11.11, a Belgian Strong Ale brewed with cinnamon and hatch chiles. Ever since, she and her husband are on the hunt for a new beer or brewery.
